Depot Manager - Handforth
We are looking to appoint a Depot Manager at our busy Handforth branch to manage its day to day running. The selected candidate will have good organisational and man management skills, have a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude. Will be responsible for KPI’s and running the branch in the most cost efficient manner possible.
Working with a team of staff in a busy warehouse, responsible for internal staff and drivers. Duties include:
A flexible approach to the hours worked. 8 hours between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm (not split shift) Monday - Friday, 3 hours on a Saturday morning on a rota basis. The role is 50% office based & 50% warehouse duties. Must hold a current driving license & forklift license. Tyre industry experience would be an advantage but not essential as any training needed will be given to the applicant.

Warehouse Operative Apprentice – Swindon
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative Apprentice at our Swindon branch. The job includes unloading incoming goods. Warehouse stock control. Picking goods for distribution by carrier and all relevant paperwork. Picking goods for delivery on own vehicles working accurately from picking notes. Assisting loading our delivery vehicles. Container orders for export. Learn to use site records and documentation. Dealing with stock control. Learn all aspects of Health & Safety. To be trained to certificate standard to use mechanical handling equipment. Learn all aspects & duties of the warehouse.
You need to be enthusiastic and have a willingness to develop product knowledge. Willingness to learn and progress. Have good time keeping and be able to work on own initiative and to meet tight deadlines. The ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues & pay attention to detail.
After successful completion of apprenticeship a permanent position could be available to the right candidate at a salary in line with the company's full time warehouse operatives. There are good prospects for a genuine career within RH Claydon Ltd if the candidate works hard and proves to be an asset to the company there is every possibility to progress to Warehouse Management.
