Finance Manager – Saxham, Bury St Edmunds
 
RH Claydon Limited is a family run tyre wholesaler with branches throughout the UK. Established for over 50 years as a Limited company and has seen significant growth over the last few years.
We have some big plans for the next stages of our growth and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join RH Claydon Limited at its Head Office based in Saxham, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk as Finance Manager. You will report directly to the Finance Director who is taking a more strategic role in our business to manage this growth.
As Finance Manager you will take full day to day responsibility of all financial functions of the business and the management of the established finance team.
Job Specification:

  • Production of management accounts including provision of board pack
  • Review of P&L trends / variances
  • Provision of annual accounts to audit
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Day to day cashflow management
  • Management of credit control and accounts payable functions.
  • Completion of HMRC returns including PAYE, VAT and other statutory returns
  • Manage business insurance (via broker) including claims handling
  • Provision of monthly operational KPI pack along with detailed analysis
  • Manage and develop finance team (2 full time / 1 part time)
  • Budget preparation – Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow
  • Vehicle management
  • Payroll – liaison with external bureaux, P11D, Pension auto enrolment
Key Skills:
  • Ideally fully qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA - or in late stages of qualification or may consider AAT with relevant experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in financial control (preferred) with a £20 million turnover multisite business.
  • Excellent excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting systems / principles
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You must be able it demonstrate good staff management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, plan workflow
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and have a hands on approach
Salary & Benefits:
  • Salary will be negotiable depending on experience (£35,000 - £45,000 plus bonus)
  • 40 hours per week
  • 5% Company Pension (providing 3% Employee Pension contribution is made)
  • 22 Days Annual Leave (rising to 25 days on length of service) plus UK bank holidays

Warehouse Supervisor – Saxham, Bury St Edmunds
 
R H Claydon Ltd is one of the UK’s leading tyre wholesalers. We are looking to appoint a Warehouse Supervisor at our Saxham, Bury St Edmunds branch to assist the Branch Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast moving environment. Assist in the day to day management of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.
Main duties include:

  • Assisting the Branch Manager in the day to day running of the branch.
  • Overseeing and assisting with goods inwards, (mainly direct sea-land containers).
  • Picking of products for delivery.
  • Overseeing the loading of delivery vehicles to ensure accuracy.
  • Distribution and route planning.
Required skills:
  • Good organisational & man management skills as will be expected to take control of the day to day running of the branch in the branch managers absence.
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Tyre knowledge would be preferred, but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Must hold a current UK driving licence.
  • Forklift licence would be an advantage.

Driver / Warehouse Operative – Tunbridge Wells
 
We are looking for driver/warehouse operatives for our new Tunbridge Wells branch. Main duties will include delivering throughout the south east of England. Other warehouse duties will include unloading of incoming stock and picking of goods for delivery. A reliable and flexible approach to work is essential. Experience of driving 3.5 tonne van, on multi drop is essential.
Salary: £20,800 - £22360

Other warehouse duties will include unloading of incoming stock and picking of goods for delivery. A reliable and flexible approach to work is essential. Experience of driving 3.5 tonne van, on multi drop is essential and a 7.5 tonne license would be an advantage.
